Cherry blossoms in bloom
carry away the harvest moon,
far across the dusty dunes
where hope stays oft consumed
by insects that march to the tune
of their barren establishment.
Waving the flag of discontent
every time they miss their rent,
the only abundant factor present
is the hatred that is spread
by every foul word said
against each other until the smothering
vicious air is too much to bear.
Every awkward stare
results in needless conflict
and thus the next convict is born,
torn from their family
to morph into a societal thorn;
the magnum opus of someone hopeless.
